Chimera kits arrive ready for immediate fit-up and welding. Each ready-to-weld kit includes:
- Cage geometry developed by a registered engineer (RPEng) in SOLIDWORKS® CAD from vehicle-specific 3D scan data.
- Design alignment to the relevant motorsport specification based on selected configuration.
- All roll cage tubing CNC cut and notched in our Altona, Melbourne facility.
- All bending performed to tight tolerances with professional equipment in our Altona, Melbourne facility.
- CNC-cut sheet metal components (as required for the design) including foot plates, foot boxes, and gussets (formed and dimple died where required).
- Installation instructions and fitment guides to support accurate assembly.
- Support for logbook and certification information (as required).
The full-cage variants of this cage are 'through-dash' cages, and modification to the dash skin and substructure may be required. Modifications to interior trim and door trims may be required to ensure best fitment of the roll cage. Cage designs are developed to the relevant motorsport specification based on your product configuration above. Chimera Development can also assist with logbook and certification information as required (drop us a message for more information).
The result is a professional-grade cage solution that prioritises fitment quality, structural intent, and efficient installation, whether installed by a professional workshop or an experienced fabricator. Chimera Development roll cage kits (ready-to-weld cage kits, cage kits, roll cage kits) are intended for motorsport and off-road use only. Professional installation by a qualified fabricator is strongly recommended, and required per some motorsport sanctioning bodies. While designs are developed with reference to relevant motorsport specifications based on the selected configuration, final compliance, certification, and approval remain the responsibility of the installer, vehicle owner and governing body. Fitment of a roll cage may render a vehicle non-compliant with Australian road regulations. Motorsport rules and requirements are subject to change.

We offer kits for a growing range of popular chassis. If your model is not listed, we can usually scan it and add it to our lineup. Drop us a message if you cannot find your vehicle.
Are your rollcage kits CAMS, Motorsport Australia, AASA or ANDRA compliant?
Yes. Our cages are designed around Motorsport Australia, AASA and ANDRA guidelines. It is still your responsibility to check the rules for your class and state.
Can I order a custom rollcage design for my specific setup?
Yes. We offer custom and semi custom layouts for customers with unique requirements, racing classes or interior changes.
What materials do you use for your cages and parts?
All kits are made from high quality CDW or Chromoly steel tube that meets Motorsport Australia and ANDRA specifications.
Do your kits come pre-notched and ready to weld?
Yes. All tubes are CNC cut and notched for an accurate, ready to weld fit.
How accurate is the fitment of your kits?
Every design is based on precise 3D scans to ensure a tight fit to the car and consistent repeatability.
